Gold PE Award

We are delighted to announce that Grundisburgh Primary School has been awarded the Gold School Games Mark!

We feel this reflects the improvements we have made to PE and the significant increase in pupil participation in extra-curricular sports clubs we have on offer.

79% of children in KS1 now take part in a sporting club. This has risen from 44% in the academic year 2014-15. In the academic year of 2017-2018 84% of KS2 children attended at least one of the sporting clubs we have on offer. There has been a significant jump in the number of SEN children attending clubs this year in particular. In 2016-17 only 48% of boys were attending a sporting club on a weekly basis. This increased to 83% this year with 35% more boys attending a weekly sports club.

Well done to all of the children for working so hard on their PE and achieving the Gold Award! Well done to the PE Crew on leading and managing PE in the school.

Update... we have maintained the Gold Award for 2018-19!
