Tournaments 2017-18

Here is a list of tournaments we are planning on entering or have entered during the academic year 2017-18. There will be many opportunities for children to be involved in competitive games and this table will be updated throughout the year so progress can be monitored and more tournaments added as they arise.

Football Tournament U11 Boys / Mixed at Inspire Suffolk

The boys played five games, winning three (against Henley, Bildeston and Grange) and drawing against Melton and St Mary’s. They were very disappointed not to get through to the semi-finals, not least because they had played brilliantly and not conceded a goal during the whole tournament!
Congratulations to Sam Barr for winning the Fair Play award.

Football A and B teams at Grundisburgh vs Melton

A team – 2-2

B team - 5-2

All the children played really well together and were working well as a team.

Football Tournament Girls at Inspire Suffolk

We came 3rd in the School Games U11s Girls’ Football Tournament this week!

We came second in our pool, having played five close games against Gorseland, Bealings, Melton, The Oaks and Ipswich High. We played the first semi-final against Dale Hall (which Dale Hall won 2:0) and then the final for 3rd place, which we won 1:0 against Hadleigh.

Well done to Ellie for winning the fair play award.

Our team played 8 games in total and played better with every game. Our last game was against St Pancras, who had beat us 5:0 earlier in the festival, and we were delighted when we beat them 1:0!

Congratulations to Reggie for winning the Fair Play award.
